An update

So it's been a month since I have been able to update our class blog. A lot has been happening in our classroom over the past few weeks. We have finished up with data management and moved onto our patterning unit. We have been working on repeating and growing patterns. If you want to see specifically what your child is doing, please visit their blogger for their posts.

From our patterning unit, we started with some repeating patterns explorations

We created a repeating patterns anchor chart...

We also did some math inquiry...

What is data management???

We have been working on understand what data management is. Students were given a bunch of different data.
Then they were asked to manage the data, meaning they needed to do something to the data to make it more organized so we could get information more easily. Below are some examples of what they did:

Please review with your child what data management means and have them practice how to manage data at home.

Welcome

Welcome to our class blogger!

On this main page, you will find information about our classroom. I will be blogging about information you will need to share with your parents, so make sure you share this class blog with them.

In the heading bar, you will find tabs to each of your classmates blogger account. You can view what they are have posted and respond to their blogs. You each have your own blogger account that will be your ePortfolio. You will be documenting what you are doing in math and share it on your blog.

I look forward to reading your blogs!

Ms. Wong
